Tepelenë — A Quiet Alternative to Saranda
Saranda is Albania’s most popular coastal destination, known for its beaches, Lekursi Castle, and proximity to Ksamil and Butrint. Thanks to the recently completed road from Tepelenë, Saranda is now just about 1.5 hours by car — making it a comfortable day trip from our guesthouse.
Many travelers prefer staying in the quiet mountains of Tepelenë for a few nights and day-tripping to the coast, rather than fighting for parking and availability in busy Saranda during peak season.
