The Dragoti Bridge is one of the most beautiful bridges in Albania. Spanning 114 meters across the Vjosa River at the bend of Dragot village, this metal suspension bridge was designed and built by Italian engineering students in 1936. It is listed as a Category II cultural monument of Albania.
The bridge features arched metal trusses resting on concrete platforms on both banks of the Vjosa. The roadway is 5 meters wide with 1.5-meter metal parapets on each side. The total length of 114 meters makes it one of the longest bridges of its era in Albania. Despite its age, the bridge remains remarkably well-preserved and continues to serve as a crossing point.
Dragot village is a short drive from Tepelenë town center. The bridge is freely accessible and makes a wonderful photography spot, especially in the late afternoon when the light hits the Vjosa’s turquoise waters below. It can be combined with a riverside walk or a swim. From Panoramic View House, it is about 10 minutes by car.
